Openkoda implementation partner: the platform our sister company builds
Openkoda is an insurance policy administration system that insurers configure with AI, from quote to claim. It is built and licensed by our sister company of the same name, founded by the same two people. Stratoflow is the implementation partner. Core Travel Insurance went live on Openkoda in eight weeks in 2026.

- Who builds it
- Openkoda, a separate company in the same group, with its own team, pricing and roadmap at openkoda.com

From platform to your products
Product configuration
Your products, rates and rules expressed on the platform's policy and rating model, so a new product or a rate change does not need a release.
Core and legacy integration
Accounting, payment, reinsurance, document and distribution systems connected, with the incumbent core running alongside until you trust the new one.
Data migration
Policies, claims and history moved with the versioning intact, so the question of what the cover was on a given date still has an answer.
Custom modules in Java
Where the platform stops and your differentiation starts: modules and services in Java and Spring, built by the same engineers who configure the platform.
Hosting and support
Deployment on your cloud or ours, and a Managed Java Application Support retainer if you would rather we ran it.
AI features
Retrieval over policy documents, claims triage and agent tooling through Spring AI, with the audit trail insurance regulators expect.
Why two companies, and what it means for you
A product and a services business want different things. The product wants a roadmap, a price list and as many customers as possible on the same code. The services business wants to do whatever your systems need, including things the product will never do. Keeping them in separate companies with separate books is how we stop one from quietly subsidising the other, and it is why we can tell you plainly when Openkoda is not the right platform for you.
It also means you are not locked to us as the implementer. The platform licence is between you and Openkoda; your configuration, integrations and custom modules are documented and can be handed to your own team. We would rather earn the retainer than rely on lock-in.

Openkoda and Stratoflow, the practical questions
Is Openkoda a Stratoflow product?
No. It is built and sold by our sister company of the same name, founded by the same two people. Stratoflow is the implementation partner and sells implementation, integration, custom development and support as its own service. Each company keeps its own books, and work between them is priced at arm's length.
Do we have to buy Openkoda to work with Stratoflow on insurance?
No. Most of our insurance work is implementation and integration on whatever core an insurer already runs. Openkoda is the platform we recommend when you are launching products or replacing a core and it fits; the scoping call and the written ballpark say whether it does.
How is Openkoda licensed?
Openkoda is a commercial platform, licensed by Openkoda and run either fully managed or on premise. Plans and prices are on openkoda.com; we keep the description here short so it cannot drift from theirs.
How long does an implementation take?
Core Travel Insurance went live in eight weeks. A single-product launch with few integrations sits near that; a multi-product core replacement with a parallel run is a longer programme delivered in stages with a ballpark estimate per stage. The written ballpark gives you the range for your case.
Can we take the implementation in house later?
Yes. Your configuration, integrations and custom modules are documented, and handover with knowledge transfer is part of every implementation scope. The platform licence stays with Openkoda.
Insurance on this site
Launching this platform is a key step in transforming the way we serve organizations and travelers. We needed a solution that paired excellent group travel insurance with our patented, scalable model for personalized traveler upgrades. We required a smooth migration of our existing clients along the way. We’ve gone from implementation to production in only eight weeks.
